Technip Energies, in partnership with SBM Offshore, has been awarded a significant1 contract by TotalEnergies for the GranMorgu Floating Manufacturing, Storage and Offloading vessel (FPSO) in Suriname.
Beneath this contract, the joint-venture between SBM Offshore and Technip Energies will assemble and set up a Floating Manufacturing, Storage and Offloading vessel (FPSO), leveraging Technip Energies’ experience in engineering and modularization for the topsides and SBM Offshore’s Fast4Ward® hull.
Because of the joint experience of the 2 firms, the challenge will likely be designed to reduce greenhouse gasoline emissions. It’ll embrace an all-electric drive FPSO configuration, with zero routine flaring and full reinjection of related gasoline into the reservoirs. There will likely be an optimized energy utilization with Waste Warmth Restoration Items and optimized water cooling for improved effectivity. A everlasting methane detection and monitoring system will likely be put in counting on a community of sensors.
“We’re delighted to have been chosen by TotalEnergies, along with our accomplice SBM Offshore, for the GranMorgu FPSO challenge in Suriname,” stated Marco Villa, Chief Enterprise Officer of Technip Energies. “By using our modularization experience, we’ll design the topsides of this all-electric drive FPSO and oversee the fabrication course of in collaboration with our accomplice. This award highlights Technip Energies’ established functionality to include applied sciences that scale back greenhouse gasoline emissions in any sort of commercial set up.”
This challenge is the primary FPSO challenge in Suriname and is positioned in Block 58, circa 150 kilometers offshore Suriname.
